MCALLEN, TEXAS - The NBA Development League announced today that Rio Grande Valley Vipers guard Will Conroy (6-2, 195, Washington), is the NBA Development Performer of the Week for the first time this season and a record fifth time in his career.
While leading the Vipers to home wins over Springfield on Friday and Bakersfield on Sunday, Conroy averaged 26.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 14.5 assists while shooting 70.4% (19-for-27) from the field, 57.1% (4-for-7) from behind the arc and 78.6% (11-for-14) from the free throw line.
Conroy recorded his third triple-double in four games on Friday with a season-high 31 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists while hitting 10-of-12 shots, including a three-pointer near the end of regulation to tie the game and force overtime.
On Sunday, Conroy dished out a season-high 17 assists while adding 22 points for the double-double.
Conroy becomes the third Viper to earn NBA Development League Performer of the Week honors this season after Mike Harris (currently with the Washington Wizards) and Antonio Anderson (currently with the Oklahoma City Thunder) did so in January.
