Connor Tabbed USHL Forward of the Week

YOUNGSTOWN, OH- Today, the United States Hockey League (USHL) has announced that forward Kyle Connor has been named CCM Forward of the Week. Connor tallied four goals and an assist, along with a plus-four on-ice rating in three games over the weekend, helping the Phantoms take all six standings points.

The Shelby TWP, MI, native netted the game-winner on Friday, in a 3-2 win over the Muskegon Lumberjacks. His heroic hot had continued on Saturday, as he scored the game-tying goal on a penalty shot midway through the third period, in a 2-1 shootout win over the Madison Capitols. Connor capped off his monster weekend with a pair of goals and an assist in a 5-0 win over the Capitols on Sunday, marking his fourth two-goal game, and 11th multi-point effort of the season.

This is the second weekly award this season for Connor, who also took home CCM Forward of the Week honors for the week of October 19-25, when he tallied a goal and four assists in a pair of wins over the Bloomington Thunder. He was also named Forward of the Week following week 16 of last season.

Committed to the University of Michigan, Connor leads the team, and is third in the USHL in scoring with 44 points (18g, 26a) through 36 games played.

The Phantoms return home this weekend to take on the Dubuque Fighting Saints on Friday and Saturday. Faceoff for both games is scheduled for 7:05pm.
