
Connecticut Sun To Hold Olympic Sendoff

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (July 23, 2008) - The Connecticut Sun will hold an Olympic Sendoff on Thursday, July 24th as they take on the Los Angeles Sparks at 7 p.m. in Mohegan Sun Arena.
Join the Sun as they send head coach Mike Thibault, who will be an assistant coach for Team USA in Bejing, off to the Olympics in style. In addition to watching the best basketball in the world, Olympic style contests will be held on the court throughout the game.
The first 4,000 fans at the game will receive a complete set of Connecticut Sun Trading Cards.
Following a month-long break for the Olympics, the Sun will return to action on Thursday, August 28th at Indiana at 7 p.m. The first home game after the break will be on Sunday, August 31st as the Sun take on the Seattle Storm in Mohegan Sun Arena at 1 p.m. The first 3,000 children under 12 will receive a commemorative Connecticut Sun lunch box presented by COMCAST.
