
Connecticut Sun Sign Lasha Petree to Training Camp Contract

Uncasville, CT - The Connecticut Sun has signed guard, Lasha Petree to a training camp contract, the team announced today.
Petree comes to Connecticut after using her final year of collegiate eligibility at Purdue University. The 6-0 guard averaged 14.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game for the Boilermakers during the 2022-23 season. Prior to Purdue, Petree spent three seasons at Bradley University, before playing her senior season with Rutgers in 2021-22. Throughout her collegiate career, she has picked up many accolades including MVC Preseason Player of the Year (2020-21), First-Team All-MVC (2020, 2021), MVC Freshman of the Year (2019) and MVX Sixth Player of the Year (2019).
Connecticut will tip off the 2023 regular season on Friday, May 19 at the Indiana Fever at 7:00 PM EST. The Sun will return to Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, May 21 for its Home Opener against the Washington Mystics at 1:00 P.M. EST.
