Uncasville, CT - The Connecticut Sun has signed forward, Kristine Anigwe to a seven-day contract, the team announced today. Per team policy, no details were released.

Anigwe returns to Connecticut after originally being drafted ninth overall in the 2019 draft by the Sun out of the University of California. She played her rookie season in Connecticut, before being traded to Los Angeles in 2020. Throughout her career, Anigwe has made appearances for the Sparks, as well as the Dallas Wings in 2021 and the Phoenix Mercury in 2022. Most recently, the 6-4 forward signed a training camp contract with the Chicago Sky prior the 2023 season. Anigwe appeared in 10 contests, tallying 25 points, 21 rebounds, four assists, three steals and five blocks over 82 minutes played.

The Connecticut Sun are back in action on Tuesday, July 18 at 10:00 PM ET/7:00 PM PT when they take on the Phoenix Mercury.
