Uncasville, CT - To honor the life and memory of Ahmaud Arbery, the Connecticut Sun will be hosting a Basketball for Free clinic in Waterbury, CT. The clinic will take place at the Wendell L Cross Elementary School (1255 Hamilton Ave, Waterbury, CT, 06706). The clinic's participants will be fifth and sixth graders from the school, and each grade will participate in an hour-long clinic run by Connecticut Sun Head Coach, Curt Miller.

"We are happy to host this clinic in Ahmaud Arbery's name to honor his life and memory. Knowing how the events of the past year and a half have affected not only our players, but our Black community at large, we felt it was important to do something tangible, no matter how small, to honor Ahmaud's life in the wake of his trial's conclusion. We want our Change Can't Wait platform to be about enacting real change in our community, and this is a step in that direction." - Connecticut Sun President, Jen Rizzotti
