
Connecticut Sun Announces Its 2023 Theme Nights and Promotional Packages

Uncasville, CT - Today, the Connecticut Sun announced its theme night and promotion schedule for the 2023 season. In addition to watching high level basketball in an exciting and family-friendly environment, fans will have lots of opportunities to participate in fun contests, honor people in their communities, and collect Connecticut Sun prizes and swag.
To tip off the season, the Connecticut Sun will be hosting its Home Opener presented by Post University during the Sun's game against the Washington Mystics at Mohegan Sun Arena at 1:00 PM EST on May 21. The Sun will be honoring Connecticut Sun legend, Taj McFranklin-Williams, by placing her number alongside other Sun legends in the rafters of Mohegan Sun Arena, immediately following the game. Fans will be able to acquaint themselves with the new coaching staff and roster additions, and the first 2,500 fans will also have the chance to pick up Connecticut Sun magnet schedules on their way into the arena.
June will see a slew of themed games, starting on June 4 at 1:00 PM EST during the Sun's game against the Dallas Wings. Connecticut will be hosting a Game Show Day, where fans will have the opportunity to take part in game show trivia, participate in sing-a-longs, and win prizes. The first 2,500 fans will get fanny packs from Michelob Ultra. Later that week, during its game against the Las Vegas Aces at 7:00 PM EST on June 8, the Connecticut Sun will host A Night of DistinCTion sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Connecticut. The Sun will be celebrating excellence in sports throughout the years with athletes, Olympians and champions from all over New England. The first 2,500 fans will receive Connecticut Sun foam fingers provided by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The Sun's third theme night in the month of June will take place on June 15 against the Atlanta Dream at 7:00 PM EST. The Connecticut Sun will be hosting its third annual Change Can't Wait Night presented by Yale New Haven Health, educating fans about the Sun's social justice platforms and ways they can help people in their local communities. The first 2,500 fans will receive Connecticut Sun bandanas. To close out the month of June, Connecticut will be hosting its PRIDE Game presented by Jordan's Furniture on June 25 against the Chicago Sky at 1:00 PM EST. Fans are encouraged to show their pride while enjoying a special halftime performance. The first 2,500 fans will receive a Connecticut Sun beach towel.
The Sun will host another four themed games throughout the month of July. On July 6 at 7:00 PM EST, the Connecticut will welcome the Seattle Storm to Mohegan Sun Arena and host Hometown Heroes Night. The Sun will be recognizing members of the military, first responders, essential workers, and more from throughout the region. The first 2,500 fans will receive a camouflaged drawstring bag from Two Roads Brewing. On July 9, the Sun will play the Washington Mystics at 3:00 PM EST during its Breast Health Awareness game presented by Yale New Haven Health to raise awareness on the importance of breast health using early detection and local resources. The Connecticut Sun will be honoring survivors throughout the game. On July 20, the Sun will be inviting thousands of children to Mohegan Sun Arena for Camp Day for its game against the Atlanta Dream at 11:30 AM EST. The children in attendance will receive a Connecticut Sun coloring book as part of the festivities. July will conclude with the first ever Star Wars Game when the Sun will play the Minnesota Lynx on July 30 at 1:00 PM EST. The first 2,500 fans will receive a Star Wars themed Connecticut Sun t-shirt presented by MoheganSunCasino.com.
Three themed games will take place in August, beginning with the Sun's August 18 game against the Dallas Wings at 7:00 PM EST. The Connecticut Sun will be hosting its first Indigenous Peoples' Night to commemorate the franchise's unique position as the first professional sports team owned by a Native American tribe. Indigenous Peoples' Night will feature performances by Mohegan dancers, highlight other native tribes in Connecticut, and discuss the origin and symbolism of the Connecticut Sun's rebel uniform. On August 24, during Connecticut's game against the New York Liberty at 7:00 PM EST, the Sun will be hosting Alyssa Thomas Bobblehead Night presented by Post University. The first 4,000 fans in attendance will receive The Engine's bobblehead. Lastly, during Connecticut's August 31 game against the Phoenix Mercury at 7:00 PM EST, the Sun will be hosting Women of Inspiration Night presented by Post University. The Connecticut Sun will be honoring women that have made strides and a difference in their fields and industries. The first 2,500 fans into Mohegan Sun Arena will receive a 2023 team poster.
The Connecticut Sun will close out the regular season with two themed games in the month of September. On Friday, September 8 at 7:00 PM EST during its game against the Indiana Fever, the Sun will be hosting its first Sneakerhead Night. The Sun will be celebrating sneaker culture, encouraging fans to wear their freshest kicks. Sneaker culture vendors will set up tables throughout the arena concourse, fans will have the chance to show off their kicks on the Orange Carpet, the Sun will be running sneaker-themed activities, and there will be a live halftime performance. Fans who get to the arena early will have the opportunity to visit, trade and shop with the vendors; and the first 2,500 fans will receive bucket hats from TRULY Hard Seltzer. Last but not least, the Sun will be finishing its themed games with Fan Appreciation Day presented by Fidelity Investments during its final regular season home game against the Chicago Sky on Sunday, September 10 at 1:00 PM EST. The Sun will be giving away a plethora of different prizes all game long, and the first 2,500 fans will also be receiving a Connecticut Sun t-shirt.

Fans will have the opportunity to buy tickets at a buy-one-get-one free (BOGO) rate in select seating locations at every Tuesday home game this season. In addition to the discounted tickets, fan will also get BOGO fountain drinks and popcorn, and $6 domestic bottle beer. The 2-For-Tuesdays ticket offer is only available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office.
COLLEGE STUDENT PASS

With Games for Good, fans have the opportunity to use their ticket purchases to impact their local communities.
