Connecticut Sun Announce 2023 Schedule

Uncasville, CT - The 2023 WNBA regular season schedule is finalized, the league announced today. The Connecticut Sun will play 40 regular season games-four more than the 2022 regular season-with 20 games at Mohegan Sun Arena and 20 games on the road.

The pursuit for the organization's first championship title begins on Friday, May 19 in Indianapolis against the Indiana Fever at 8:00 PM, followed two days later by the Sun's home opener against the Washington Mystics on Sunday, May 21 at 1:00 PM. Connecticut continues the month of May with another matchup with Washington on the road on Tuesday, May 23, followed by a trip to Brooklyn to face off against the New York Liberty on Saturday, May 27. The Sun close out the first month of action hosting the Fever on Tuesday, May 30 at 7:00 PM.

June opens with a one-game road trip to Minneapolis, where the Sun will play the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday, June 1 at 8:00 PM. The team will then return home to host the Dallas Wings on Sunday, June 4 at 1:00 PM. The highly anticipated 2022 WNBA Finals rematch with the Las Vegas Aces will take place in Connecticut, as the Sun host the 2022 WNBA Champions for a two-game series on Tuesday, June 6 and Thursday, June 8. Both games are set to tip off at 7:00 PM. The Sun round out June with a home-and-home with the Dream, meeting them first in Atlanta on June 11, followed by a contest in Connecticut on June 15 at 7:00 PM. The team will travel west on June 18 to take on the Los Angeles Sparks, followed by two away games in Seattle and Minnesota on June 20 and June 22, respectively. Connecticut then heads back home to host Chicago on June 25 at 1:00 PM and New York on June 27 at 7:00 PM to finish out the month.

Connecticut will begin July paying a visit to Las Vegas for a matchup with the Aces on Saturday, July 1. The Sun then return home for a pair of contests against the Seattle Storm on July 6 at 7:00 PM and the Mystics on July 9 at 2:00 PM. The team will travel to the Windy City for a matinée matchup with the Chicago Sky on Wednesday, July 12 at 12:00 PM before heading into the 2023 All-Star break. The Sun will begin the second half of the season with their first contest against the Mercury in Phoenix on July 18, followed by a home-and-home with the Dream on July 20 at 11:30 AM in Connecticut and on July 22 in Atlanta.

The Sun's last game in July is part of a two-game home stint against the Lynx which will take place on Sunday, July 30 at 1:00 PM and Tuesday, August 1 at 7:00 PM Mohegan Sun Arena. Connecticut will then embark on their longest road trip of the 2023 regular season on Friday, August 4 beginning with a meeting against the Indiana Fever, followed by stops in Seattle on August 8, Phoenix on August 10 and Dallas on August 12. The Sun return home for another meeting with the Wings on August 18 at 7:00 PM, before a two-game away trip to Chicago on August 20 and Washington on August 22. The team will close out the month with a three-game homestand against the Liberty on August 24 at 7:00 PM, the Sparks on August 27 at 1:00 PM, and the Mercury on August 31 at 7:00 PM.

September wraps up the regular season, beginning with a trip to New York on Friday, September 1 at 7:30 PM. The Sun close out the regular season with three straight home contests beginning with the Sparks on September 5 at 7:00 PM, followed by Indiana on September 8 at 7:00 PM and the regular season finale against Eastern Conference rival, Chicago, on September 10 at 1:00 PM.

AT&T WNBA All-Star 2023

AT&T WNBA All-Star 2023, the 19th All-Star Game in league history, will be played on Saturday, July 15. More information about AT&T WNBA All-Star will be forthcoming.

Commissioner's Cup presented by Coinbase

The Commissioner's Cup presented by Coinbase, an in-season tournament pitting conference rivals against each other during the first half of the regular season, will return for its third season. The 10 designated "Cup games" per team will be the first home game and first road game each team plays against its five conference rivals, all completed from May 19 - July 12. The team from each conference with the top record in Commissioner's Cup presented by Coinbase games will compete for a half-a-million-dollar prize pool in the Commissioner's Cup Championship presented by Coinbase on Tuesday, Aug. 15.
