CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - After only 17 hits in the first four games of the series, the Beloit Snappers rattled off 11 hits on Saturday night. Two of them came from Griffen Conine as he homered and drove in three, en route to an 8-5 win over Cedar Rapids.

Beloit scored first on a Conine opposite-field homer in the top of the second. Conine has hit 5-for-11 (.455) in his last three and 8-for-25 (.320) with his fourth home run in his last eight games. The Snappers added a run in the third with an RBI-double from Thomas Jones, plating Kameron Misner.

In the top of the seventh, down by one, Beloit scored two. In the eighth, they took advantage of a couple of defensive miscues and plated four insurance runs to take an 8-3 lead.

Josh Roberson battled in relief as he collected the final six outs and seal the win, 8-5, for Beloit.

Beloit's Top Performers: Alberto Guerrero earned the win with a quality start while striking out double-digits. Jones went 3-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch and a walk. Conine reached four times and drove in three runs.
