Condors to take part in Children's Miracle Network's Mediathon Wednesday

This Week In Condorstown:
Wednesday, Sept. 16:
Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd along with Condors Front Office staff members will lend a hand at the Children's Miracle Network's Mediathon from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The staff members will be answering phones and accepting pledges to raise money. The CMN helps raise money to provide for children with cancer, birth defects, accident victims and many other illnesses.
The annual Condors Job Fair will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at Rabobank Arena, located at 1001 Truxtun Ave. The Condors are hiring game-night positions for Mascots, Program Sales, Promotions Team, Kids Zone, Chuck-A-Puck Sales, Merchandise and more. Those interested may fill out an application in the Condors front office (1001 Truxtun Ave.) prior to the Job Fair to secure an early interview appointment.
Thursday, Sept. 17:
The Condors will be holding their annual Select-A-Seat event from 3 to 7 p.m. Fans are invited inside the arena to check out the remaining seats that could be yours for an exciting season of Condors hockey! Fans will be offered free hot dogs, popcorn and soda while they choose the best seats available and have the special opportunity to watch the ice and logos being put down on the arena floor. Those that purchase tickets at the event will be given a tour of the locker room and underbelly of the arena.
The Condors will be holding National Anthem Tryouts from 3 to 7 p.m. at Rabobank Arena to find vocal artists and other musicians to perform the Star Spangled Banner and occasionally the Canadian National Anthem at Condors games throughout the season. Hopeful singers should contact Brad Urbani at 324-PUCK (7825) prior to the event to schedule a tryout time.
Friday, Sept. 18:
Members from the Condors Front Office Staff will attend Bakersfield City School District's Partners in Education Day. The staff members will visit with principals from local schools in an effort to bring educational awareness to community partners, such as the Condors, that are willing to help our local students.
Saturday, Sept. 19:
Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd will be at Alex's Lemonade Stand held by The Carriage House Estates Retirement Community at 8200 Westwold Drive. Colonel will attend the event from 11 to noon. Alex's Lemonade Stand is a nationwide fundraiser that raises money to find a cure for childhood cancer one cup at a time.
