This Week In Condorstown: Tuesday, Aug. 25: The "Voice of the Condors," Kevin Bartl, will sit in for Corey Costelloe as guest host for Home Turf on ESPN Radio 1230. Tune in to hear Bartl discuss the wide world of sports, and of course, Condors hockey. Home Turf airs Monday - Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 27: Condors mascot Baby Cal will be on the ice with the hockey tots at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center starting at 5:30 p.m. Cal will be learning the basics of hockey right alongside the four and five year olds. For information on all the hockey programs, both youth and adult, contact the Ice Sports Center at 852-7400.
NWSaturday, Aug. 29: Condors mascot Baby Cal will appear at the Northwest Baseball Tournament at the fields just behind Sam Lynn Ballpark (4001 Chester Ave.) at 11:45 a.m. Baby Cal will meet sports fans and entertain families getting ready to enjoy the final week of Northwest Baseball.
Mark Your Calendars: The Condors Care-A-Van will next travel to Frazier Park on Sept. 5, as it joins the Fall Festival, located at Lampkin Park from 1 to 8 p.m. Festival attendees will be able to enjoy the Condors bounce house, inflatable slapshot, prizewheel and, of course, Colonel Claw'd. Additionally, fans will be able to participate in the first ever Condors Chuck-A-Puck held outside a Condors game. For more information on this Care-A-Van or if you would like the Care-A-Van to stop by your hometown, give the Condors community relations department a call at 324-PUCK (7825).
Week In Review: On Wednesday, Condors F Stephane Goulet chatted with fans and answered questions through the Condors Facebook Fan Page. The following day, Condors mascot Baby Cal visited the children at the Jasmine Nyree Center. On Friday evening, Colonel Claw'd greeted and took pictures with very surprised children and families arriving for Movies in the Park at the Bright House Amphitheatre.
