WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors (11-11-1-1, .500) received a two-goal effort from C Kyle Platzer, but fell just short, 3-2 to the Stockton Heat (9-10-0-2, .476) in the Golden State Hockey Rush outdoor game at Raley Field Saturday night.

- Ben Scrivens became the first goaltender to start more than one outdoor AHL hockey game.

- This was the third outdoor game for Condors RW Matthew Ford. Seven other Condors had skated in an outdoor game either in college, junior or the pro ranks.

- Four of Platzer's eight points this season have come against the Heat.

NHL NETWORK REPLAY ON SUNDAY

The NHL Network will replay tonight's game on Sunday, Dec. 20 at 12 p.m.

TABLET GIVEAWAY AND SOCK TOSS SUNDAY ARE CHRISTMAS WEEKEND

After a Sunday contest in Ontario at 3 p.m., the AHL takes a holiday break, while the Condors return to action with two home game Christmas weekend.

The Condors host Stockton the day after Christmas for computer tablet giveaway. Everyone in attendance can enter to win one of ten HP Pro Slate 10 tablets, sponsored by La Caliente 96.9 and XIT Solutions.

On Sunday, Dec. 27 the San Diego Gulls come to town for a 5 p.m. start time, for Sock Toss Sunday, presented by 97.3 JACK FM. Fans are asked to bring new, still in the wrapper undergarments - socks, boxers, briefs, diapers, bras, etc. - and when the Condors score their first goal of the night, throw them onto the ice. The items will be donated to local charities and living facilities. Over 12,000 garments have been collected in the last two seasons through this event.
