Condors at Kids Fest; Attend Men's Cook Off this Weekend

Upcoming week of May 26th - June 1st:

· Friday, May 30th - Cal, the Baby Condor, Condors staff, and the Condors Slapshot will be at the Berkshire Elementary School Carnival from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Berkshire Elementary is located at 3900 Berkshire Road.

· Saturday, May 31st - Cal, the Baby Condor will be at Calvary Baptist Church's Family Fun Day from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Calvary Baptist Church is located at 48 Manor Drive.

· Saturday, May 31st - Cal, the baby Condor, the Condors Slapshot, and Condors staff will be at the KGET-TV 17 Kids Fest from

10:00 am - 3:00 pm. The Condors co-sponsor this year's Kids Fest which is being held at Yokuts Park, located at 4200 Empire Drive.

· Saturday, May 31st - Condors Director of Community Relations John Ayre and Condors Head Coach Paul Kelly will be participating in the Bakersfield Museum of Art Men's Cook Off from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Tickets to the event can be purchased at the Bakersfield Museum of Art, which is located at 1930 R Street.

· Sunday, June 1st - Cal, the baby Condor, the Condors Slapshot, and Condors staff will be at the KGET-TV 17 Kids Fest from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. The Condors co-sponsor this year's Kids Fest, which is being held at Yokuts Park located at 4200 Empire Drive.

Week in Review:

· Monday, May 19th - Condors Goaltender Kevin St. Pierre visited Stockdale Elementary. St. Pierre spoke to children about his career in hockey as well as the importance of staying in school.

· Monday, May 19th - Condors Director of Corporate Marketing & In-Game Promotions Greg May competed in the 15th Annual Golf Invitational held at Seven Oaks Country Club. Proceeds went to benefit the Girl Scouts Joshua Tree Council.

· Friday, May 23rd - Condors Director of Community Relations John Ayre spoke at the 2nd Annual Fairfax School Career Day. John spoke to 7th and 8th grade students about his experiences of working in professional sports and the importance of education.

Condors Droppings:

· Bakersfield's 2003-2004 season schedule has been announced. The Condors will open the season on Friday, October 17th, 2003 against the Fresno Falcons. Season tickets are now available with packages starting at just $48. Stop by the Condors office at Centennial Garden or call the Condors at 324-PUCK (7825) for more information.

· Time is winding down for this month's Condors Internet Auction. This month's Internet auction is your chance hit the links with Head Coach Paul Kelly and a Condors player (subject to availability). Included in the prize package are greens fees, cart, lunch and a Condors golf shirt! Log on to www.bakersfieldcondors.com to place your bid. Proceeds to the benefit the American Red Cross - Kern County Chapter.

· The Condors official retail outlet, the Condors Closet, is now operating on summer hours. It is open Monday through Friday, from 11:00 am until 5:30 pm. The "Spring Sale" is going on, giving a 20% discount on select Condors golf polos, assorted sweatshirts, jerseys and T-shrits. The Condors Closet is located at 1022 Truxtun Avenue, across from Centennial Garden.
