Condors announce broadcast schedule for 2008-09

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, have announced their broadcast partners for the 2008-09 season are once again ESPN Radio 1230, Bright House Networks and B2 Networks.

All Condors games, home and away, will be carried live on ESPN Radio 1230. The broadcasts will begin with Condors Countdown, sponsored by Goodwill Industries, 15 minutes prior to the drop of the puck, and conclude with the Central Body Works post-game report. The post-game report for home games will include a live call-in show.

Every game will also be carried live on B2 Networks, which allows fans to purchase the streaming video feed from any arena in the ECHL. Games may be purchased individually for $7 or a B2 Networks Season Pass may be purchased that will provide access to every Condors game during the regular season for $160.

Select Condors games will also be televised live on Bright House Networks Ch. 21, with a schedule that includes every Saturday and Sunday home game, as well as the Nov. 5 contest against Victoria, which is the annual School Field Trip/Businessperson's Special game, with a 10:30 a.m. start. That game will be the only televised game to be replayed, airing at 7 p.m. that night. All televised games, however, will be available on Bakersfield On Demand Cable Channel 300 the following day.

The Condors broadcast team includes Kevin Bartl, returning for his sixth season of Condors hockey, and Andrew Buchbinder, entering his second campaign.

Condors released from AHL camps

The Condors have announced five players have been released from their American Hockey League training camps and will join the team immediately. Forwards Dale Reinhardt (pictured) and Matt Pope, as well as defensemen Martin Frechette and Tom Morrow have been released from their try-out with the Iowa Chops, and defenseman Chris Kaufman has been released from the Norfolk Admirals camp.

All five players are expected to be in town in time for this Sunday's Open House and Family Day, at the Ice Sports Center, from Noon to 3 p.m. That day will be the first opportunity for fans to see the 2008-09 Condors take the ice with practice from Noon - 1:30 p.m. From 2 to 3 p.m. there will be a free public skate with the team. Skate rentals are available for just $3. The Open House is open to all fans, free with the donation of two non-perishable food items.
