
Comrie and Palmieri head to US camp

Recent Storm acquistion Adam Comrie and Storm prospect Kyle Palmieri will be two of the 43 players invited to the 2009 U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp in lake Placid, N.Y. running from August 7th-15th. Participating players are candidates for the 2010 U.S. National Junior Team that will compete in the 2010 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship, from Dec. 26, 2009-Jan. 5, 2010, in Saskatoon and Regina, Sask.
Comrie and Palmieri open camp which will feature practices, three games between the split U.S. squads and four games against Russia, on Friday.

Guelph Storm players have donned the red, white and blue of Team USA on nine occasions at the World Junior Hockey Championship. This list includes current NHLers Dustin Brown and Ryan Callahan (pictured), who will both be attending the U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Orientation Camp from Aug. 17-19, at Seven Bridges Ice Arena in Woodridge, Ill. Guelph Storm Assistant Coach Chris Hajt played for Team USA at the 1997 and 1998 World Junior Championships. Hajt earned a silver medal with USA in 1998.
