Huntsville Stars News Release

The Milwaukee Brewers have promoted left-hand pitcher Adam Pettyjohn to triple-A Nashville and promoted right-hand pitcher David Johnson from high-A Brevard County to Huntsville. Johnson is expected to be in uniform for the Stars Friday night for the last of a five-game series with Montgomery.

Pettyjohn made 11 starts for Huntsville, going 4-2 with a 4.45 earned run average. He won each of his last two starts and picked up his first and only win at home in his last turn on Wednesday afternoon in the Stars' 19-4 bashing of the Biscuits. Pettyjohn has prior triple-A experience with Toledo in 2000 and 2001, Fresno in 2004 and Sacramento in 2004 and again last season.

Johnson made 19 appearances in relief for the Manatees, going 2-0 with four saves and a 2.36 ERA. He struck out 26 and walked only six in 26 2/3 innings of work. The 24-year-old was a 15th round selection by the Brewers in 2004.
