Gutierrez Promoted to Louisville; Strait Back from DL Stint

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Today, the Cincinnati Reds announced that 1B Jesse Gutierrez has been promoted from Chattanooga to Louisville (AAA). Taking Gutierrez's spot on Chattanooga's roster is OF Cody Strait, who has been activated from the Disabled List.

Gutierrez returns to Louisville, where he played in 18 games earlier in the season, batting .184 with one homer in 49 at-bats.

The 2004 Southern League All-Star MVP hit .325 with one homer and five RBI in 10 games during his time with the Lookouts in 2007.

Strait, who was placed on the Disabled List on May 21st, has played in 42 games for the Lookouts this season. He currently leads the team in homers (6) and stolen bases (9). He is batting .233 on the year with 22 RBI.

The Lookouts will continue their home stand, tomorrow, with a five-game home stand against the Huntsville Stars. The promotion of the night will be Team Photo Giveaway and Fireworks.
