
Comets Sign Forward Zac Lynch to PTO

Utica, NY - Utica Comets General Manager Ryan Johnson announced today that the club has signed forward Zac Lynch to a professional tryout contract.
Lynch has skated in 55 games this season with the Manchester Monarchs tallying 45 points (22-23-45) and 50 penalty minutes. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native appeared in 21 AHL games last season with the Springfield Thunderbirds collecting four points (3-1-4).
The 25-year-old is competing in his second professional season after attending Robert Morris University. In his senior season, the forward was named the AHA Player of the Year after recording 39 goals as the conference scoring champion. In addition, he was a Hobey Baker Award Finalist and named to the AHA First All-Star Team.
Following his collegiate career, Lynch skated in seven games with the Portland Pirates registering one assist and two penalty minutes.
