Colvin Placed on DL, Hill Placed on Rehab Assignment

MOBILE, ALA. - The Seattle Mariners have announced the following roster moves that affect the Generals roster. RHP David Colvin has been placed on the 7-day DL and LHP Nick Hill has been placed on a rehab assignment in Peoria, AZ with the AZL Mariners. The moves are made prior to tonight's game three of the series with Mobile at Hank Aaron Stadium.

Colvin, 24, has been placed on the disabled list and last pitched on July 25th at home against Huntsville. In 19 relief appearances Colvin is 0-1, with a 3.10 ERA (10ER/29.0IP), with 6 walks and 26 strikeouts. Colvin has held opposition to a .217 batting average this season. Colvin was the Mariners' 27th round draft choice out of Pomona-Pitzer College (CA) in 2011.

Hill, 29, has been placed on a rehab assignment with the AZL Mariners in Peoria, AZ. Hill has appeared in 20 games this season between Jackson and AAA Tacoma, going 1-3, with an 8.59 ERA (21ER/22.0IP), with 12 walks and 8 strikeouts. Hill was Seattle's 7th round selection in 2007 out of Army.
