
Columbus Stars Suspend Operations
January 9, 2004 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2) News Release
LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Friday that the Columbus Stars have suspended operations effective immediately.
"This is an unfortunate situation, as Milano Sports informed the league that they are unable to continue operations," stated President/CEO Richard Brosal.
All players under contract to the Columbus Stars have been granted immediate free agency.
UHL Game #202 (Elmira @ Columbus) and UHL Game #209 (Elmira @ Columbus) will be rescheduled with new opponents and a revised schedule will be released on Monday, January 12, 2004.
