Columbia Fireflies Individual Game Tickets on Sale February 26

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Single game tickets for the Columbia Fireflies Inaugural Season at Spirit Communications Park will go on sale on Friday, February 26th at 9am. Tickets for Opening Day and the 2016 Fireflies Inaugural Season will be available at ColumbiaFireflies.com or via phone at (803) 726-4487. The Fireflies begin play in Charleston on April 7; the first home game in franchise history will be played on Thursday, April 14 at 7:05pm against the Greenville Drive.
The Fireflies will have a packed entertainment and promotional schedule including 25 fireworks shows, ten national entertainment acts, 11 theme nights and an opportunity for all kids in attendance to run the bases after each and every home game. The Fireflies will also be home on the 4th of July.
"Fireflies baseball is all about affordable family entertainment," said Fireflies team president, John Katz. "Our promotions and marketing team has packed the calendar each night with something for fans of all ages."
The Fireflies will feature different special promotions every day of the week. The daily promotions include: Military Monday, $2 Tuesday, Budweiser Thirsty ThursdayTM, Postgame Autographs / Splash Day Sunday.
On Mondays, all military with a valid military ID will receive $2 off an all-star or reserved ticket (subject to availability). $2 Tuesdays will feature $2 hot dogs, popcorn, and fountain drinks. Budweiser Thirsty ThursdaysTM will feature half-priced draft beer and fountain drinks, with an added pre-game Happy Hour at the Budweiser Centerfield Bar. The Fireflies will light up the skies with post-game fireworks after each and every Friday and Saturday home game. On Sundays, we turn the ballpark into a waterpark with fun water games to help cool off fans. After Sunday games, we invite fans to stay and get autographs from the Fireflies players. Additional promotions for the 2016 season will be announced in the coming months.
"Fans can attend any Fireflies game for as little as $5 on the Bojangles Berm," added Katz.

Fridays throughout the 2016 season will feature national entertainment acts and post-game fireworks. Saturday games will be a different theme, which will give fans an opportunity to dress up and experience the ballpark with a whole different atmosphere, concluding each Saturday with post-game fireworks as well.
"We are excited about our line-up for the 2016 season," said Fireflies vice president of marketing Abby Naas. "We have been working hard to get everything in place to create a memorable Inaugural Season at Spirit Communications Park. We view each of our home games is Opening Night for somebody, and want to make sure that the experience at each game is unique. You never know what you may see on our video board or who we may have invited out each game."
Monday through Saturday game times are set for 7:05pm for the 2016 season. Sunday home games between Opening Day and the All-Star break will begin at 2:05pm; Sunday games after the All-Star break will begin at 5:05pm. There are also three games early in the season that will celebrate students who complete the Fireflies Reading Program. These day games will be on Wednesday, April 20, Wednesday, May 18, and Wednesday, May 25 at 11:05am.
Gates to Spirit Communications Park will open 60 minutes prior to First Pitch on Sunday - Wednesday games; gates will open 90 minutes prior to First Pitch on Thursday - Saturday games, and on the 4th of July.
Opening Day at Spirit Communications Park is April 14th. Individual game tickets begin at $5 for the Bojangles Berm, Reserved Seats are $9, and All-Star Seats are $10. The Fireflies are currently taking reservations for Season Ticket packages, including Full Season (70 games), Half Season (35 games), Quarter Season (17 games) and Mini Season packages (12 games).
