Colts Set For Final Home-Stand

San Angelo, TX - The San Angelo Colts return to Foster Field tonight to kick-off their final home-stand of the regular season. The Colts will play seven straight games beginning tonight against Coastal Bend and Amarillo. The home-stand features a four-game series with the Thunder, August 24-27, which was moved from Robstown to San Angelo giving the Colts four extra home games.
Following the Thunder into San Angelo will be the Dillas from August 28-30 to wrap-up the regular season. Currently, the Colts sit in a fourth-place tie with the Rio Grande Valley White Wings for the ULB's final playoff spot. The White Wings hold the playoff tie-breaker over the Colts due to winning the season-series over San Angelo 10-6.
Of course, with the playoffs beginning exactly one week from today, there will be a slew of promotions at Foster Field to end the regular season, including $2 bratwursts throughout the home-stand. Furthermore, San Angelo Independent School District students, with identification, will receive free general admission tickets to the Coastal Bend series with the purchase of an adult ticket. SAISD teachers can receive $2 general admission tickets with ID throughout the Thunder series as well.
Tonight will be $2 Tuesday presented by Budweiser as parking, general admission tickets, popcorn, hot dogs, bratwursts, soda and bottled beer will all be on sale for only $2 throughout the evening.
Wednesday will be Sure-Win Wednesday courtesy of Sherwin Williams. If the Colts don't win, all fans in attendance will receive a voucher for free admission to Fan Appreciation Night on Sunday, August 29.
Thursday will be the final Thirsty Thursday of the season presented by Miller Lite. All draft beers will be on sale for only $1.
Friday will be a continuation of the Youth Baseball Glove Giveaway courtesy of Concho Valley Partnership as all fans 12-and-under will receive a free baseball glove as they enter the gate.
Saturday will feature the final giveaway of the season. The first 1,000 fans through the turnstiles will receive thundersticks sponsored by TXU. Furthermore, Saturday will also be Bring Home the 'W' courtesy of Whataburger. Should the Colts prevail over the Dillas, all fans in attendance will receive a gift certificate for a free hamburger at Whataburger.
Sunday will be Fan Appreciation Night presented by Foster Communications as the Colts will give fans the opportunity to win various prizes throughout the evening. Following the game will be a concert featuring the Maurice Davis Band.
The home-stand and regular season will end on Monday with a postgame fireworks show courtesy of Bank of America.
It should be noted that if the Colts get into the playoffs, they will play at Foster Field on Tuesday, August 31 in game one of a best-of-three series.
Start times for all games will be at 7:05PM with the exception of the game on Sunday, August 29, which will begin at 6:05PM.
