Colts Opening Day Roster Set

San Angelo, Texas---Manager Doc Edwards has finalized his Colts roster for opening night, whittling the number of players down to 22 for the season opener against the McAllen Thunder.

Two hurlers made the team out of camp, righties Adam Kramer and Steve MacFarland. Kramer is the brother of Colts pitching coach Sean Kramer, while MacFarland was a 9th round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2006. Former Angelo State standout Austin Lasprilla made the team out of tryouts, but will be inactive to start the season.

San Angelo released LHPs Tyler Blum and Jordan Kendall, RHP Andrew LeDuc and IF/OF Steven Rinaudo. The team also traded infielder Butch Ballez, who was with the Colts for the last two seasons, to the El Paso Diablos for a player to be named later.

The season opener is tonight at 7:05 PM against the McAllen Thunder at Foster Field. The first 1,000 fans in the gate will get a free t-shirt and everyone can enjoy a post game fireworks show, both presented by 1st Community Federal Credit Union.
