Colts Former Captain Returns Home

Amarillo, Texas--- Jason Crosland who joined the Colts on the first road trip of the season this past Saturday, started all four games in left field in Amarillo. Crosland comes to San Angleo to makes his home debut this season Wednesday when the Colts return to Foster Field to take on Coastal Bend for the first time this season. The former Colts Captain is thrilled to be back to San Angelo which has been his home land four of the past five years. "I love the city of San Angelo, love the fans, just like playing for this organization, said Crosland"

Crosland was originally drafted by the Phillies in the 9th Round in the 2003 Draft. After spending three years in the Phillies chain from 2003-2005, Jason really took off when he joined the Colts. Crosland won the homerun title in the inaugural year of the United League in 2006, hitting 21 long balls that season as well as hitting .300 with 78 RBIs. He followed it up the next year in 2007 hitting .305 with 17 homeruns and 73 RBIs.

He then went to Chico after the 2008 season and played for the Chico Outlaws in the Golden League. Jason now returns to San Angelo and the league he has had great success in. Crosland is the Colts All-Time Homerun King (44) and RBI leader (171). Jason who has batted sixth and seventh in the lineup so far, adds big power to an already potent Colts lineup that includes Ronnie Gaines, Jason Landreth, Josh Collazo and Adam Hale.
