Colts and WhiteWings Washed Out Consecutive Days

San Angelo, Texas - For the second night in a row, the San Angelo Colts and Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings are postponed due to rain and unplayable field conditions.
"Rain and baseball are like oil and water; they don't mix well together," general manager Dave Kost said. "But we are still at crucial stages, and we are happy that San Angelo is getting this much needed rain."
The Colts and WhiteWings now have to make up two games in their next series at Foster Field. They will play a doubleheader on Tuesday, July 30, and then another on Thursday, August 1. San Angelo and Rio Grande Valley will play two seven-inning games on both nights.
The Legend Jewelers Diamond Dig is now scheduled for Tuesday, July 30. It will also be Chamber of Commerce Night and a $2 Tuesday, sponsored by Budweiser. Ladies 18 and over can go on the field after the second game ends to dig for a pair of diamond earrings, courtesy of Legend Jewelers. In addition, all general admission tickets, longneck beers, sodas, hot dogs, popcorn, and peanuts will be just $2, courtesy of Budweiser.
Thursday, August 1 is a Thirsty Thursday/$1 Beer Night, sponsored by Miller Lite. Fans 21 and over can enjoy $1 draughts and $2 bottled beer all night long, courtesy of Miller Lite. There will also be live music immediately following the second game.
The Colts begin a four-game series against the Edinburg Roadrunners Wednesday at Foster Field. It will be a Sure Win Wednesday, sponsored by Sherwin Williams. Either the Colts win, or everyone in attendance gets a free general admission ticket to the next Wednesday home game, courtesy of Sherwin Williams.
The Colts are in the midst of a 12-game home stand. The home stand runs from Tuesday, July 9 through Saturday, July 20, and in that time the Colts face the Fort Worth Cats, Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings, and Edinburg Roadrunners. After this home stand, the Colts begin an eight-game road trip against the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings and the Edinburg Roadrunners. The Colts then return home for their last 12-game home stand of the regular season on Tuesday, July 30.
