San Angelo Colts News Release
Fort Worth, Texas --- The Colts announced Sunday they have activated outfielder Jamar Walton and placed catcher Andrew Caron on the Inactive List.
Walton was placed on the Inactive List on July 13 during the Colts' nine-game road trip in the valley. Walton went home to Virginia for a week, but has rejoined the club in Fort Worth. He is batting .309 with two homers and 30 RBIs in 45 games this season.
In order to make room for Walton on the active roster, the Colts also put Caron on the Inactive List. Caron has a .186 average with four RBIs in 11 games. He signed with San Angelo on June 27 after beginning the season with the White Sands Pupfish of the semipro Pecos League.
The Colts next home game is Monday when they will host the Abilene Prairie Dogs. It will be Haircuts at the Ballpark Night, sponsored by SportClips. Gates open at 6:05 p.m., and first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
The Colts are a member of United League Baseball who are in their 13th season. Tickets are on sale now, and available at the Colts' front office at Foster Field.
