The Barrie Colts have acquired Ottawa Senators prospect, Gabriel Eliasson from the Niagara IceDogs in exchange for two draft selections.

2027 15th Round Selection (BAR)
Eliasson was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the 2nd Round 39th overall at the 2024 NHL Draft. The 6.07 and 216lb defenceman is from Kungsbacka, Sweden where he suited up for HV71 J20 last season. In 36 games, he registered six points (one goal, five assists) and 103 penalty minutes.
