
Colts Acquire Pitcher from Abilene

San Angelo, Texas --- The San Angelo Colts announced Thursday they have acquired righthander Chris Peacock from the Abilene Prairie Dogs in exchange for future considerations.
Peacock began the season in Abilene and made two relief appearances. He went 0-1 with an 11.57 earned-run average in 2 1/3 innings pitched. Peacock also struck out one batter for the Prairie Dogs.
In order to make room on the active roster for Peacock, the Colts have placed pitcher Stephen Nikonchik on the Inactive List. Nikonchik has made three relief appearances for San Angelo. The righthander has allowed one run in 3 2/3 innings for a 2.46 earned-run average.
The Colts welcome the Fort Worth Cats to Foster Field Thursday evening for game one of a five-game home and home series. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m., and gates open at 6:05 p.m. It will be a $1 Beer Night, sponsored by Miller Lite.
The San Angelo Colts are a member of United League Baseball who are in their 13th season. Tickets are on sale now, and available at the Colts' front office at Foster Field.
