
Colton Beck Joins AHL's Iowa Wild

Rapid City, SD - Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced today that forward Colton Beck has been loaned to the American Hockey League's Iowa Wild.
Beck, 25, leads the Steelheads in scoring this season with 23 points (nine goals, 14 assists), including 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) in the past ten games. He ranks second in the ECHL in scoring.
The Langley, B.C. native is in the midst of his second professional season and has played all 83 games of his pro career with the Steelheads, plus five playoff games last spring. Beck has scored 71 points (26 goals, 45 assists) as a Steelhead, along with four goals and an assist in last year's playoffs.
Beck will join AHL Iowa immediately.
Steelheads goaltender Maxime Lagace will also be returning to the AHL after he was recalled to the AHL Texas Stars on Thursday, the AHL affiliate of the Steelheads. Lagace was assigned to the Steelheads from AHL Texas by the NHL's Dallas Stars on November 11th. He has appeared in six games with the Steelheads, going 1-3-2 with a 3.24 goals-against average and a .891 save percentage.
The Steelheads and Rapid City Rush return to action in the second game of their three-game series Friday night at 7:05pm at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The game will be joined in progress on 93.1FM KTIK "The Ticket".
