Colorado Rapids Announce Year-End Roster Moves Ahead of 2019 Campaign

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - Colorado Rapids Soccer Club has exercised contract options on four players and declined options for eight, while fourteen players of the current roster have guaranteed contracts into 2019.

The club picked up options for defender Deklan Wynne; midfielders Kellyn Acosta and Dillon Serna; and forward Niki Jackson.

The following players have guaranteed contracts that extend into the 2019 season: goalkeepers Tim Howard and Zac MacMath; defenders Kortne Ford, Marlon Hairston, Axel Sjöberg, Tommy Smith, Sam Vines, and Danny Wilson; midfielders, Cole Bassett, Nana Boateng, Johan Blomberg, Sam Nicholson, and Jack Price; and forward Shkëlzen Gashi.

Contract options were declined for defenders Kip Colvey, and Mike da Fonte; midfielders Giles Barnes, Sam Hamilton, Enzo Martinez, and Ricardo Perez; and forwards Caleb Calvert and Jack McBean.

Goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra and forward Yannick Boli are out of contract. The club did not exercise the option to purchase defender Edgar Castillo's contract from C.F. Monterrey, however, contract negotiations are still taking place.
