
Dynamo Announce Roster Moves Ahead of 2019 Season

HOUSTON - The Houston Dynamo have announced a number of roster moves as the club begins preparations for the 2019 season.
The club picked up contract options on 10 players for the 2019 season: MF Eric Bird, MF Juan David Cabezas, DF A.J. DeLaGarza, MF Boniek GarcÃa, DF Kevin Garcia, DF Adam Lundkvist, GK Michael Nelson, FW Romell Quioto, MF Memo Rodriguez and GK Joe Willis.
The club declined contract options on six players: DF Conor Donovan, DF Leonardo, DF Adolfo Machado, DF Dylan Remick, DF Jared Watts and FW Mac Steeves.
Four players' contracts expired following the conclusion of the 2018 season: MF Arturo Alvarez, DF DaMarcus Beasley, DF Philippe Senderos and DF Andrew Wenger.
Finally, the loan for MF Luis Gil (Querétaro FC, Mexico) is set to expire on December 31.
"We'd like to thank our group for their hard work and commitment this season, which resulted in winning the U.S. Open Cup, our club's third championship," said Dynamo Senior Vice President and General Manager Matt Jordan. "We have a strong core returning and are currently in discussions with several players from last year's roster while continually looking to strengthen the team in preparation for the 2019 season."
Including the players already under contract and those whose contract options were picked up, the Dynamo currently have 20 players under contract.
