Colorado Rapids Acquire Goalkeeper Andre Rawls

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - Colorado Rapids Soccer Club announced today the selection of goalkeeper Andre Rawls in the first phase of the 2018 re-entry draft. Rawls becomes the fourth addition to the Rapids roster since the conclusion of the 2018 season.

Rawls joins Colorado after spending the last three seasons with New York City FC The 26-year-old was initially drafted by NYCFC 44th overall in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft. He spent the 2015 season at Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL, making 22 appearances for the club.

The San Ramon, California native played college soccer for Saint Mary's where he would be named West Coast Conference Goalkeeper of the Year in 2014.
