April 11, 2012 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Colorado Crush News Release

Fort Collins, CO-Coming off of 3 straight wins, the Colorado Ice Professional Indoor Football team will use this momentum on the road this weekend. The Ice will take on the New Mexico Stars in Rio Rancho, New Mexico on Saturday, April 14th, 2012.

The Ice will look to avenge their early loss to the Stars as this is the second time the teams will face off this season. Previously, the Ice fell to the stars 46-39 in their season opener. Since then the Ice have managed to fine-tune their game and bring in 4 wins making their record 4-2 for the season.

The early matchup against the Ice is the only win the Stars have seen so far this season. The Stars recently lost to the Tri-Cities Fever 65-62 which helped the Fever improve to a perfect 6-0 record. The game was tied 62-62 with less than a minute left to play, the Stars never found an opportunity to pull ahead. The Fever made an impressive 34 yard field goal as time ran out to secure the win, leaving the Stars with yet another disappointing loss.

The Ice have seemingly found a recipe for success and are showing excellent cohesion recently, on and off the road. Saying they have powerful running game doesn't do the Ice justice as they currently lead the league in rushing yards. The Ice's resilient special teams are also setting the bar as they lead in field goal percentage and extra point percentage.
