Colorado Ice Player Derek Douglas II Signed By CFL Team

(Fort Collins, CO) The Colorado ICE are proud to announce that Defensive Back Derek Douglas II (2) has been signed to a two year contract with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. Derek was in Los Angeles this past weekend for the CFL tryouts.

"Derek will be missed by the Colorado ICE but we support the move to the next level by any of our players," stated ICE Head Coach Collins Sanders. Derek posted 35 tackles (20 solo) and one interception in nine games with the Colorado ICE.

The Colorado ICE fans can look forward to following Derek's success in the CFL when the Hamilton Tiger-Cats take on the Toronto Argonauts on Sunday, June 13th at 11:00am Mtn. The Tiger-Cats official website is www.ticats.ca and has the announcement of their new signings.

The Colorado ICE will be facing the Sioux City Bandits next Saturday, May 29th at 7pm in the Budweiser Events Center.
