LAST WEEK IN REVIEW

Friday, November 18; Jones Shuts Out Condors, Shuts Down Home Losing Streak

LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles defeated the Bakersfield Condors, 3-0, at the Budweiser Events Center, stopping the Eagles' four-game home losing streak -- the longest in franchise history. Kyle Jones stopped 30 shots in the win, securing the 5th shutout of his career. The game also featured plenty of penalty minutes as the teams combined for 138.

Saturday, November 19; Eagles Sweep Weekend Set Against Condors, Combs nets second hat trick of season in 6-3 win

LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles defeated the Bakersfield Condors for the second night in a row, claiming their third consecutive victory overall. Jack Combs led the way offensively in the 6-3 win, netting his second hat trick of the young season, and Colorado's power play -- which entered the game tied for last place in the league -- chipped in three goals.

THE WEEK AHEAD

Wednesday, Nov. 23, Friday, Nov. 25 & Saturday, Nov. 26; Eagles Look to Feast on Steelheads During Thanksgiving Week

Colorado will host Idaho three times this week in the first ever meetings between the two teams. The Eagles (15 pts. - 3rd place in the division) & the Steelheads (14 pts. - 4th place in the division) started off slow this season, but both have found more success recently. Colorado enters the week having claimed seven of eight points over the past two weekends, while Idaho has taken six of eight, including a 1-0 overtime win against the defending champion Aces in their last game.

NOTABLE NUMBERS

HATS OFF - Jack Combs recorded his second hat trick of the season on Saturday, both of which have come at home. He scored all three of the Eagles' goals in their season home-opener against the Stockton Thunder. He also was responsible for the game-winning goal in both games over the weekend, raising his total on the season to four (tied for 1st in the ECHL).

C-ING STARS - Chad Costello & Jack Combs have combined for 17 points over the past five games, which is nothing new for the dynamic duo. Last year as teammates for the CHL's Tulsa Oilers, the pair combined for 166 points in 118 games. The twosome enters the week tied for 2nd in the ECHL in points (21)...one behind Las Vegas' Judd Blackwater, who has played two more games.

WIN WHEN HE'S IN - Goaltender Kyle Jones has also had himself a nice recent stretch, going 3-0-1 over the past two weekends, highlighted by his shutout last Friday against the Condors. Jones has been in net for all seven of the Eagles' wins this season.

POWER SURGE - The Eagles' power play entered Saturday's game tied for last place in the league after suffering through a 2-for-30 stretch, but it broke through in a big way against Bakersfield. Colorado went 3-for-8 in the game, marking just the second time all season that they have notched multiple power-play tallies in a contest.

BLUE LINE SPECIALS - Both Aaron Schneekloth & Jon Landry have been great from the blue line so far this season. Entering the week, they're tied for 1st in the league among defensemen in points (11).

OTHER HAPPENINGS
