The Week That Was...

The South Carolina Stingrays squared off against the Greenville Road Warriors and Gwinnett Gladiators this week for a record of 2-2-0-0. The Stingrays battled the Road Warriors for the third straight contest on Tuesday, falling 3-1 at the Bi-Lo Center. Forward Sean Dolan scored the lone goal for the Stingrays. The Stingrays opened a three-game in three-night series against the Gladiators on Friday, dropping the opening contest 4-2 at The Arena at Gwinnett Center. Forwards Chris Higgins and Pierre-Luc O'Brien lit the lamp for the Stingrays. The Stingrays celebrated Epilepsy Awareness Night and wore alternate red jerseys for the first time Saturday night at the North Charleston Coliseum. Forward Danick Paquette registered two assists and forward Trent Campbell buried the game-winning goal late in the third period to give the Stingrays a 3-2 victory. The momentum carried into Sunday's finale with a 6-1 triumph over the Gladiators at the Coliseum . Forwards Greg Stewart (2g, 1a), Dolan (1g, 2a) and Paquette (3a) each had three -point games and goaltender Philipp Grubauer picked up his eighth victory of the season making 35 saves.

Taking the Lead

The Stingrays are first in the South Division with 21 points and first overall in the Eastern Conference.

Forward Danick Paquette is first in the league with 19 minor penalties.

Forward Billy Ryan is second in the ECHL with a 37.5 percent shooting percentage (three goals on eight shots).

Forward Pierre-Luc O'Brien is tied for first with two shorthanded goals.

Goaltender Philipp Grubauer ranks first in the ECHL with a 1.59 goals-against average, first with a .945 save percentage and tied for second in wins (8).

Rookie Sean Dolan is tied for fifth among first-year players with 12 points (5g, 7a), tied for third with three power-play goals and tied for second with seven power-play points (3g, 4a).

Defenseman Dustin Stevenson is fourth among ECHL D-men with 11 minor penalties.

Defenseman Johann Kroll is tied for second among league bluliners with two shorthanded points (1g, 1a).
