Walleye Notes
- Past Week Performance: Toledo finished this past week with a 3-1-0-0 record. The Walleye started the week with a 4-2 loss Tuesday at Cincinnati. Forward Kyle Rogers collected a goal and two assists to lead the Walleye to a 4-1 win on Wednesday night in Chicago. The Walleye started the season-high eight-game home stand Saturday night with a 5-3 win over Reading, thanks to a pair of goals from Harrison Reed. The Walleye would cap the four-game week with a 6-3 win over Cincinnati on Sunday, with Adam Estoclet collecting four points with a goal and three helpers.
- Line Up Rankin, Reed, and Estoclet! Walleye leading scorer Evan Rankin has scored six goals and five assists in the last seven games. Evan leads the Walleye with 10 goals and eight assists on the season. Forward Harrison Reed has three goals and six assists in the seven games he has played since returning from the AHL. Adam Estoclet has four goals and eight assists in the 10 games he has played in Toledo.
- Rufenach Rolls! Defenseman Bryan Rufenach is currently on a team-high seven-game point streak. Bryan has scored seven goals with three assists during the streak that started on November 9 against Chicago. He is closing in the on the longest point streak for a Walleye player, which is nine games, set by J.C. Sawyer from October 17 to November 7, 2009.
- Winning Time! Toledo has won three games in a row for the first time this season. During the three game run, Toledo has scored 15 goals, while allowing just seven. The Walleye have also won four of the last five games.
- Get the first One! Toledo is 5-3-0-0 this season when collecting the first goal of the game. Toledo has turned that into a record of 3-2-0-0 when leading after the first period and 4-0-0-0 when holding the edge after two periods.
- Gametime! The Walleye play just two games this week. The first is Wednesday night at the Huntington Center when the Florida Everblades come to town. Toledo is 5-7-2 all-time against the Everblades. The Cincinnati Cyclones will be in Toledo on Friday night to wrap up the week. The Walleye and Cyclones have split the first two meetings this season.
- Promotions: Wednesday night is sponsored by Allegiant Air. One lucky fan will walk away with a free round trip to Florida! That night will also feature a Coat Drive at the Huntington Center presented by Huntington Bank and WTOL. Collection bins will be set at each entrance, and will also be set up on Friday. Also on Wednesday, fans will want to look around for flying turkey hats - 1,000 will be given out. Friday will feature a post-game party with the Walleye players!
