Colorado Eagles News Release
WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles were able to outscore the San Francisco Bulls 4-1 on Wednesday night at the Budweiser Events Center. Eagles goalie Marc Cheverie was able to turn aside 18 of the Bulls 19 shots and Eagles forwards Luke Fulghum, Kyle Ostrow and Kevin Ulanski were key players in helping the Eagles take home the win.
Colorado had little trouble getting on the board with a shot by Fulghum from between the hashes, 2:10 into the first period to give the Eagles the 1-0 advantage. Fulghum was assisted by forward Kevin Ulanski and rookie defenseman Paul Phillips.
With just over 15 minutes left in the second frame, San Francisco forward Dale Mitchell evened the tally at 1-1. Fulghum tipped a shot from defenseman Arthur Bidwill over Bulls net minder Tyler Beskorowany, for his second goal of the night, 18:05 into the second to put the Eagles in the lead, 2-1.
Just over 4 minutes into the third, veteran forward Ulanski was able to score his 140th goal with the Eagles to give Colorado the 3-1 lead. Later in the third, Beskorawany was unable to stop Ostrow as he took advantage of the power play and finalized Colorado's lead at 4-1.
