Colorado Eagles News Release

The Colorado Eagles announced today that they have re-signed Dylan Hood for the 2013-14 season, his second as a professional. Hood, a 5-foot-9-inch, 190-pound forward recorded 13 goals and 12 assists in 48 games with the Eagles last season. In addition, Hood also went on to capture the fastest skater award during the 2013 ECHL All-Star Skills Competition at the Budweiser Events Center in January, recording a time of 13.45 seconds.

"We were thoroughly impressed with what we saw from Dylan last season," said head coach and general manager Chris Stewart. "His speed and skill with the puck were obviously assets that jumped out at us immediately. However, his ability to put the puck in the net in crucial situations really developed over the course of the season and we are very much looking forward to seeing him continue to grow next year."

Hood's numbers, during his rookie campaign, were limited by the 24 games that he missed due to injury, including a six-game stretch after taking a puck to the face in late February.

Hood spent the 2011-12 season with the University of Calgary Dinos, posting 16 points (6-10-16) in 27 games. Prior to that, he split five seasons in the Western Hockey League between the Kelowna Rockets & the Moose Jaw Warriors, recording 186 points (83-103-186) and 205 penalty minutes in 315 games.
