LONG BEACH, Calif. – Ice Dogs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Malcolm Cameron, announced today he has agreed to terms with rookie forward, Marco Rosa. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 6'1", 185 pound native of Whitby, Ontario was selected by the Dallas Stars in the 8th round (255th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Last season he was voted as the best defensive forward in New England Division I college hockey last season, where he played his senior year at Merrimack College of Hockey East. In 2004 he not only led Merrimack with 15 goals, but he was voted the teams' Most Valuable Player. In 2001 as a freshman, he was named the teams' Rookie of the Year. In four years at Merrimack, he played in 135 games, scoring 36 goals, 61 assists and 82 penalty minutes.

"He's just a tremendous all-around player", said Cameron. "He skates well, has good hands, and is a leader. We're looking for tremendous things from Marco both offensively and defensively."

Rosa, regarded as one of the best collegiate hockey prospects, will be attending the Hamilton Bulldogs training camp, AHL affiliate of the Long Beach Ice Dogs and Montreal Canadiens.

Season tickets for the 2004-2005 season are on sale now in all price ranges. The Ice Dogs are guaranteeing the playoffs or season ticket holders will receive a $50 rebate on each seat purchased.
