College Park Closes out Season with 123-117 Win over the Long Island Nets

College Park, Georgia. - The College Park Skyhawks (17-17) emerged victorious in front of a sold-out crowd on 'Fan Appreciation Night' presented by Aaron's against the Long Island Nets (19-15), 123-117.

Jarkel Joiner tied his career-high, netting 22 points for the third time in his career. Joiner poured in a career-high six three-pointers (6-10 3FGM) and dished out a career-high tying eight assists in 32 minutes off the bench.

Seth Lundy (21 points) and Robert Baker (20 points) joined Joiner with 20+ points, while Miles Norris (19 points), Jordan Bowden (18 points), Tyson Etienne (12 points) and Brandon Randolph (11 points) all hit double-digits, marking the fifth game of the regular season the Skyhawks have had seven double-figure scorers.

The quad of Joiner (6-10 3FGM), Lundy (3-9 3FGM), Baker (4-8 3FGM) and Bowden (5-10 3FGM) combined for 18 of College Park's 24 triples.

The Skyhawks took off early in the first quarter, jumping out to a 37-19 lead behind 15 points from Miles Norris, marking his second career quarter of 15-or-more points.

College Park caught fire from beyond the arc in the first half, netting 15 first half threes to take a 66-50 lead into halftime. It marked the first half in College Park history the Skyhawks hit 15-or-more threes in any half.

Joiner hit five of the 15 triples, setting a new career-high for threes in a game.

College Park held Long Island to zero makes from deep in the first half, marking the first half in Skyhawks history they've held an opponent to zero three-pointers.

The hot shooting continued for College Park in the third quarter, nailing its 22nd make from deep at the 46-second mark of the third, which broke the record for most three-pointers made in a game in Skyhawks history, which was previously set against Long Island on 12/4/23.

College Park held a double-digit lead for the majority of the fourth quarter until Long Island went on a 13-0 run from 2:23 to :40 seconds, thanks to 10 straight points from Keon Johnson, cutting the Skyhawk lead to 118-117.

The Skyhawks would answer the Long Island run, closing out the game with three free throws from Baker and Bowden, and a Joiner breakaway layup to put away the contest, 123-117.

Long Island was led by Johnson (36 points) and Davion Warren (34 points), who both netted career highs and combined for 70 of Long Island's 117 points.

The Skyhawks finish the regular season with a 17-17 record and a 24-22 combined record between the Showcase Cup and regular season.
