"Ohio State was exactly what I was looking for. The coaches were very impressive, and it is a big-time top program in a great league. I am really looking forward to my time there, it seems like the perfect fit for me. This means the world to me, I am so grateful for my family, teammates, and coaches who all have helped me get to where I am today. The school is an amazing school, and I cannot say enough about how special of an opportunity I will have there. I am working every day to mature my game all around. I am learning to defend better in my own zone while trying to maximize my offensive potential. Tri-City has been amazing for me to round out my game and have success at the next level." Defenseman Cole McWard
"We are really happy for Cole and his family; this is something that he is certainly deserving of. It has been good to see him grow as a young man, and a hockey player, and he is someone who embodies everything our organization is all about." President of Hockey Operations/Head Coach Anthony Noreen
