Cold Shooting Dooms Skyforce in Loss to 66ers

Sioux Falls, SD - The Tulsa 66ers defeated the Sioux Falls Skyforce 94-72 Saturday night in front of 5,093 fans. Sioux Falls shot a season-worst 33.8 percent from the field (27-of-80) and recorded a season-low in points.

Sioux Falls (20-14) went ahead 4-2 on a Mike Davis lay-up but it would be their only lead of the game. Tulsa (18-15) led 31-22 after the first quarter and 51-36 at halftime.

Sioux Falls cut the deficit to 12 points (53-41) early in the second half but Tulsa went on a 17-6 run to take a 23-point lead (70-47) with just under four minutes to go in the third quarter. Tulsa maintained a comfortable lead the rest of the game and won its third straight road contest.

Rasual Butler scored a game-high 17 points and Andy Rautins had a solid all-around game with 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Hollis Thompson contributed 14 points and six rebounds off the bench.

Will Foster posted 12 points, four rebounds and four blocks in his first start of the season. Mustapha Farrakhan scored 12 points while Mychel Thompson and Mark Tyndale each added 11.

Tulsa returns home to face Tulsa Tuesday night at 7 p.m. CT. Sioux Falls visits Austin Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. CT.
