Cobras To Host Action-Packed Saturday Night Game

CHARLOTTE, NC – The Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League will host an action-packed evening of events surrounding this weekend’s Eastern Division battle with the expansion Philadelphia Soul. The Cobras will square off with the Soul, which is owned by world-renowned recording artist Jon Bon Jovi, on Saturday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Charlotte Coliseum.
The events will begin with a pregame parking lot party starting at 5:00 p.m. in front of the Charlotte Coliseum. Festivities will include a live performance by McFly, as well as a variety of food, games and much more. Local businesses that will join in the events include: Wild Wing Café, Sharpie, Hendrick Honda, Budweiser and the Charlotte-area Air Force.
Fans entering the game will also be treated to a variety of gifts. The first 5,000 fans in attendance over the age of 21 will receive complimentary Budweiser mousepads. Young fans are also invited to come “Wig Out With the Cobras” as the first 500 children in attendance will receive free multi-color, ‘big-hair’ wigs.
The evening will be capped off by a one-hour postgame concert by Charity Case, a local band featuring Ace from the Ace & TJ morning show on Kiss 95.1 FM. The Cobras will also show their support for Grin Kids, the non-profit organization created by Ace &TJ, by donating $1 from each ticket sold to the youth organization. Grin Kids is designed to enhance the lives of children ages twelve and younger who are terminally ill and chronically handicapped.
