Cobras Sign Former Atlantic City Black Jacks QB Dennis Havrilla

GREENSBORO, NC - With the goal being to make the QB a very strong one, the Cobras sign a ten year veteran to the Arena game In former Atlantic City Blackjacks (AFL) QB Dennis Havrilla

Dennis Havrilla (6'1", 195, Western New Mexico) makes his way to the Cobras with many years of experience in the arena game, starting in 2011 with the Arizona Adrenaline of the IFL, had four different seasons in the AFL with the San Jose SaberCats, Las Vegas Outlaws, Cleveland Gladiators and Atlantic City Blackjacks. He also has ties with Head Coach Josh Resignalo as he was with him in High Country in the NAL in 2017. Playing QB isn't his only talent, he also has experience playing Safety as well as Kicker. In a team game, he is team first and you can put him where you need, and he is going to do his best to succeed. We asked Havrilla his thoughts on coming to Carolina, he said "I chose Carolina for the camaraderie with the coaches and players I have played with in the past. One thing I pride myself on is my work ethic. This team will be built on a strong work ethic and high character. We plan to bond with one another and be in the city to bond with our fans each week. I am looking forward to being in the community and getting to work!" Havrilla's message to Cobra Nation "I look forward to playing in front of the electric atmosphere and fans at the Greensboro Coliseum, I am so excited to be part of Cobra Nation, let's get to work!"

General Manager/Head Coach Josh Resignalo had this to say about Havrilla, "I've known Dennis for a long time and he was in the AFL for quite a while. He is an experienced veteran and known to be a great leader on and off the field. Excited to have him playing for me again and he will be looking to be a team leader from Day 1 in camp. We have undoubtedly two of the top QBs in the NAL. Will be a very competitive camp in all position groups! We have many more exciting players that will be announced within the next couple days and weeks. Cobra Nation will be excited again and ready for the 2022 season!"
