Cobras Sign All-NAL Kick Returner

GREENSBORO, NC - The Carolina Cobras announce the return of star WR/KR Kendrick Ings who begins his fourth year in the NAL and enters his third season with the Carolina Cobras.

Kendrick Ings (5'10, 180) spent the 2023 season with the Fayetteville Mustangs of the National Arena League where he started in eight games for the Mustangs recording 37 receptions and 11 touchdowns. On special teams, he led the team with two kick returns of a touchdown. In 2022, he played for the Carolina Cobras where he racked up 63 catches for 785 yards and led the team in receiving touchdowns with 18. He also led the team in all kick return categories with 14 returns for 285 yards in the regular season. In the postseason Ings and the Cobras clinched a playoff berth and defeated the Columbus Lions which launched them to a 2022 National Arena League Championship appearance.

Ings spent his first season with the Cobras in 2021 where he played wide receiver and kick returner at the conclusion of the season Kendrick Ings was named First Team All-NAL Kick Returner. Prior to the Cobras, Ings spent five seasons in the Arena Football League between the Baltimore Brigade (2018), Atlantic City Black Jacks (2019), and Tampa Bay Storm (2015-17). Ings had a stint in the National Football League where he spent two seasons in the NFL with the Detroit Lions (2015) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2016) practice squads. The 11-year football veteran also played in the Canadian Football League with the BC Lions (2016) and the Champions Premiere Indoor Football League with the Dodge City Law.
