Carolina Cobras News Release
The Carolina Cobras announce the re-signing of East Forsyth and ECU start OL Brandon Smith for the 2020 season.
Brandon Smith (6' 8" 341, East Carolina) was an absolute beast starting at RT for 23 of the last 24 games he played for the ECU Pirates. Was an anchor on the line that averaged 467 yards per game. But it should not be a surprise to local fans after he dominated at East Forsyth as well. After college he was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent.
Asked about returning to Carolina for a second season Smith said, "I am excited for the opportunity to be back with the Cobras to help bring back the ship to the 336!"
Coach Resignalo said, "Excited to have him back with the Cobras. He started last year during the season last season and now it will be great to have him here from the start. It is also great to have him back in Greensboro, and back home, to play in front of family and friends which is awesome at any level."
