Carolina Cobras News Release
The Carolina Cobras announce the re-signing of DL/LB Jarrell McKinney
Jarrell McKinney (6'4" 241, Western Michigan) was a three-year starter at Western Michigan where he totaled 124 tackles and 5.5 sacks. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Houston Texans for their rookie camp. From there he went to the AAhrus Tigers in Denmark, then to the Bloomington Edge before playing with the Carolina Cobras for three games in 2019. McKinney's attitude entering the 2020 season for the Cobras is that he is coming in with a big chip on his shoulder.
Coach Resignalo said "Excited to have him back this year, he was with us last year playing on the defensive line and mack linebacker, we had to make tough decisions roster moves due to injuries and had to let him go, I expect 2020 to be a big year and looking forward to good things from McKinney"
In a corresponding move the Cobras have announced the release of FB/LB John Robinson-Woodgett and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors.
