The Carolina Cobras announce the re-signing of 2019 Second Team All-NAL DL Micah Robinson for the 2020 season.

Micah Robinson (6' 3" 260, Syracuse) returns to the Cobras for his second year and will be expected to lead on the defensive line for the 2020 Cobras. At Syracuse he started all 25 of the games in his Junior and Senior year and played in 21 his first two seasons. Robinson had 84 tackles with 14 for a loss, as well as 4.5 sacks, six passes defended and three fumble recoveries that he returned one for a touchdown against Wake Forest. He got his start in arena football with the Triangle Torch and Cape Fear Heroes before joining the Cobras last year where he totally dominated. In 16 games, including the playoffs, for the Cobras he had 36.5 tackles, including 16.5 for a loss and 11 sacks, with nine pass break ups, three forced fumbles and one recovered and three blocked kicks.

Coach Resignalo said, "We are excited to have Micah come back to the Cobras. Micah had opportunities with many teams, but it was important for him to stay close to home. When he told me he wanted to be close to home it was a no brainer to have him back. Micah made his case last year to be in the mix for Defensive Player of the Year. He is the sack leader for the Cobras and looks to add to that total in 2020. His main goal, and the only one that matters, is to bring the Championship back to Greensboro. Having Micah helps us on that path. I've known Micah for a few years, and he has been dominant everywhere he's been. Now is the time to show why he should be at the next level."

Robinson said "I'm excited about coming back to NC and to play in the Snake Pit! I feel that we have a lot of unfinished business and I'm ready to get back to work with my guys!"

In corresponding moves, the Cobras have released K Brandon Rutherford, DE Sha'Ki Holines and have traded DB Joel Ross to the Jacksonville Sharks for Future Considerations.
