GREENSBORO, North Carolina- The Carolina Cobras are pleased to announce the signing of Josh Resignalo as the new Head Coach of the Carolina Cobras. Resignalo was the 2019 Defensive Coordinator of the Cobras and led the defense to league bests in defensive scoring, rushing, passing, and total defense. His hire follows that of the brief appointment of Anthony Payton as Head Coach of the Cobras. "I'm extremely excited to take over the position as Head Coach," said Resignalo, "After last season I was planning on heading to Spokane with the rest of the staff, but I was offered a great job opportunity in the Greensboro area that I knew I had to take. I'm just thankful the Cobras gave me another opportunity to come back and coach."

Resignalo's appointment comes with great anticipation of signing former Cobras players and local talent. "I look forward to reconnecting with some of my former guys on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. We had a lot of success on defense and most of that success was initiated with our pass rush, so I'll be diligent in getting some of those key performers signed immediately," Resignalo commented, "In addition, I know there is a lot of talented guys in the immediate area that can contribute to our success. Having Wake Forest, Duke, Carolina, and State all within a short distance along with North Carolina A&T, Winston Salem State, Guilford and Greensboro College is a huge bonus for our staff. I would venture to guess we have the most College football programs in a 75-mile radius than any other team in the NAL." Resignalo also stated his plans to round out his coaching staff with local guys, "I will confirm my staff appointments in the coming weeks, but I plan to bring some familiar faces back to the Cobras sidelines and some new guys, but all these guys are local and have great football minds."
